Are you a traditional window cleaner, or do you use one of those hoses?

Firstly yes, we pride ourselves on still using traditional window cleaning equipment. But we do also use the water fed pole system [pure water], let us explain what we do and why.

Scott left school and worked for his father’s business for many years as a window cleaner, this was way before there were poles with hoses on, all his work was carried out in the traditional way, and Scott has always championed this method, mainly because he is so good at it, but also because nothing beats finishing off a window by hand.

The water fed pole method was originally introduced for commercial premises where height was becoming a safety issue, and let’s be honest it’s always safer with two feet on the ground! Over time residential businesses saw the potential in this method and now you see the majority of “window cleaners” using this method.

We understand there is still a lot of education required, but simply here it is: - water fed pole window cleaning is, an extendable pole with a brush attached, running through the pole is a hose which is connected to a filter. This filter takes out all the particles in the water called TDS [total dissolved solids] this then sends the pure water out of the hose and onto the surface being cleaned with the brush. Pure water is proven and tested to ensure that when it dries there are no streaks, smears or drops left on the glass.

This system allows us to carry out the cleaning from the safety of the ground while still doing a perfect job every time. It also allows the cleaning of areas previously un-reachable from ladders. With all this said, we use both methods when and where necessary to ensure we complete every job perfectly.

We understand there is a lot of misunderstanding and bad press surrounding the water fed pole system, however we can honestly say a bad window cleaner is a bad window cleaner whatever the method used. Both traditional and water fed pole [pure water] are great methods if done correctly.

How do i pay you?

Payment is made by bank transfer [faster pay] or [standing order] this makes it easier for us to keep our records up to date. We use a fantastic system called “Squeeggee” which instantly updates when your job is completed and when payment is made. In the event that you are unable to make payment this way, then we will accept cash but someone must be home on the day to make the payment.

Do i need to be home?

No, simply. We will turn up to carry out the service you have booked on the scheduled time and date. Once we have completed our work, you will receive a message informing you it has been completed. We will then ask for payment to be made, if it hasn’t already. If you have access control [gates etc] this will have already been discussed with you when booking.

Do you clean internal windows?

We do. We are always happy to clean the inside of your property, obviously this will be at a time and date to suit you, as you will need to ensure someone is home for the duration of our visit. Costs for this service would be the same as a regular clean on the outside of your property, please see prices for window cleaning. On our visit we will always ensure shoe protectors are worn, and we will treat your home with respect and care.
